Eduard Büchler (Austrian, 1861–1958) – A Temple at Sunset. Bathed in the warm glow of a fading sun, Büchler’s A Temple at Sunset evokes a mood of quiet reverence and timeless melancholy. A lone figure draped in white stands before the ruins of an ancient temple, its weathered columns silhouetted against a luminous crimson sky. Framed by dark cypress trees and the gently lapping sea, the scene becomes a poetic meditation on transience, memory, and the enduring beauty of antiquity.
