The Horseman of Death (1935) by Salvador Dalí (1904–1989).

In this haunting surrealist painting, Salvador Dalí depicts a skeletal horseman riding through a barren landscape beneath a distant rainbow. Behind him, a ruined tower rises above a dark, rocky cliff, while scattered bones lie on the ground. The strange, dreamlike scene explores themes of death, decay and the passage of time.
