Fine 19th century moonlit view of the Thames, oil on panel attributed to James Abbot McNeill Whistler. Excellent quality and original unrestored condition nocturne of the Thames taken from the banks, probably near Battersea, with a ship in the distance. Old artist label verso attributing to Whistler and technical analysis of the work shows distinct similarities to Whistlers famous moonlit nocturnes of London circa 1875 in its palette and application. Presented in a good gilt frame.
