In Working Class City, Hans Baluschek presents a bleak industrial cityscape dominated by railway lines, smoking factories, and crowded tenements. A lone figure stands in the foreground, silhouetted against the harsh glow of signal lights and factory windows. The cold, dark atmosphere captures the hardship, monotony, and quiet endurance of urban working-class life in the early 20th century, where industry looms heavily over everyday existence.
