The Fall of the Damned (1621) by Peter Paul Rubens (Flemish, 1577–1640) is a powerful Baroque masterpiece depicting the Last Judgment, as condemned souls are cast into Hell by angels. Swirling figures, dramatic light, and dynamic movement create a scene of overwhelming chaos and divine justice, showcasing Rubens' extraordinary skill in portraying emotion, anatomy, and monumental composition.
